Taco King To Become Chinese BBQ?

LaNortena2.JPGLake Highlands quick-stop taco favorite Taco King closed in February, but the Taco Trail blog's Jose Ralat Maldonado has talked to the restaurant's owner who says he has some non-taco plans for the building. "Strange things are afoot in the old space," writes Ralat Maldonado, who noticed that the building's windows are papered up for renovations. The adjacent La Norteña butcher shop and bodega is now selling tacos, while owner Baldemar Martinez told Ralat Maldano he's "trying to get a Chinese place in there, something like First Chinese BBQ in Richardson. It’s my favorite." Click over for Ralat Maldano's full rundown of his tacoage. [TacoTrail]
