Because "everything's bigger in Texas" is apparently an excuse-slash-reason to do literally anything, Carl's Jr. is opening its 50th restaurant in Garland this week. "They say everything is bigger in Texas," said Carl's Jr./Hardee's president Michael Murphy in a press release, which means their 50th Carl's Jr. opening party will be "no exception." Murphy says there's a lot of burger competition here, but "our guests know what they want." Their mobile Star Diner will be near the SMU campus on Wednesday, Uptown on Thursday and outside the Granada on Friday night before the Carl's Jr. in Garland opens at I-30 and Broadway on Saturday.
