Cane Rosso Adds Hours, Local "Celebrity" Chef Contest

New, 1 comment

Jay Jerrier over at Cane Rosso in Deep Ellum has announced new, longer hours (Tuesdays for lunch and dinner) plus a new "Industry Night" that will combine food and drink specials for "industry types" as well as feature a "local 'celebrity' pizzaiolo" designing pizzas--sometimes actually working the oven--with any ingredients they like.

On Mondays, beginning November 7th with Brian Luscher of The Grape, Industry Night chefs will compete for the "Cane Rosso Golden Peel" award, while $1 from each sale on their pizzas going to the chefs' charities of choice.

Writes Jay: "No ingredients are off limits...if they want to use pineapple, barbecued chicken, and/or ranch dressing...it's all good." Somehow, we have a hard time seeing Parigi's Janice Provost thinking ranch is a great idea, but you never know. Here's the schedule:

11/7 Brian Luscher from The Grape

11/14 Chad Houser and Janice Provost from Parigi

11/21 Randall "Big Cat" Copeland from Restaurant Ava

11/28 Jack Perkins from Maple & Motor

Jerrier writes that "more big fun names" are coming soon.
