Perry Bets Salt Lick, Dr. Pepper; Fernando's Travis Walk

PARK CITIES -- Fancy-pants Marquee Grill has a fancy-pants new cocktail menu for fall. Pre-dinner cocktails are now "little bit more boozy." We're listening. [Crave DFW]

UPTOWN -- A second location of the Preston Hollow Tex-Mex spot Fernando's will open in Travis Walk by November 1st, and manager will be Omar Hernandez, late of Trece. Word is the salsa's good and the brunch will be packed. [PegasusNews]

RANGERSWIRE -- In the way sports rivalries go, Gov. Rick Perry has bet Missouri's Gov. Jay Nixon some Salt Lick barbecue and Dr. Pepper against Nixon's six pack of Budweiser and a bunch of stuff Nixon likes, including "meats" and custard. It's not even a fair fight, really. [-EATX-]
