Chef DAT Says He's The Real Underground Chef

chefdat.jpgChef David Anthony Temple of underground, pop-up restaurant fame, tells the Advocate that he's the only chef who really does underground dining properly. Oh sure, other chefs might kind of dance with the idea, but Chef DAT is for real: "I know people who do pop-up dinners like once a month or every other month or quarterly. That’s not what true underground dining is." Sounds like Chef Nicole and her Secret Supper Club are on notice. UPDATE: DAT has chimed in to Eater to say the Advocate interview was done before Nicole's supper club launched. Gauntlet retracted. [Advocate]
