Yesterday was the 20th annual AIWF DFW Caesar Salad Competition, and Del Frisco's chef David Holben took home first place while emcee Scott Murray dropped angry f-bombs on audience members. During the raffle portion of the evening, Murray read out a name instead of a number from a drawn ticket, drawing the accusation that the gig was rigged. Folks told SideDish that apart from the foul language, Murray offered to write a $500 check to anyone who "thinks I have control over the tickets I pulled." We can think of worse ways to score $500. Anybody take him up on the offer? [SideDish]
