Tommy DeAlano's new Design District restaurant, Oak, announced the hiring of two sous chefs yesterday afternoon, and they're both from relatively tall cotton: Brian Zenner, of the Mansion on Turtle Creek (and Portland's Matchbox Lounge) and pastry specialist Sarah Green of the Second Floor Restaurant. According to a press release, Zenner will bring a "West Coast modern style" to Oak's kitchen, and Green's pastries will bring "big flavors and a stylish, elegant touch."
Oak named Jason Maddy, another Mansion veteran, its executive chef back in September. In his email announcing the sous cheffage, DeAlano says Oak is "still in the construction phase."
