Earlier today, we received a tip that Austin's Kung Fu Saloon would be heading north up I-35 and straight into Big D. After we contacted the bar by email, Brandi Horne of the ATX location responded that, indeed, they were excited to confirm the Saloon's soon-to-be new Uptown home in the former Place at Perry's location.
For the uninitiated, KFS is "part vintage arcade, part sports bar, and part late night dance party" with a menu featuring "Asian-inspired American fare," sake bombs and pickle shots -- this, according to the official website for the Dallas location. The site also features a mock-up of the venue's exterior and all we can say is we want, nay demand, exactly what that digital delight promises: a transparent shadow kick-puncher, people dressed for various seasons and that ghost man in the corner.
