Today, Tommy DeAlano (of Candleroom and Dram fame) has sent word that Oak has an actual opening date. Sure, they've had private parties and will even host a Sneak Peak Design District Neighborhood event to benefit the Family Place this very evening (bring a new, unwrapped toy), but we're talking real-deal opentimes. For public peoples.
An excerpt from DeAlano's email:
We plan on opening Oak on Monday, December 19th at 5pm for dinner service through the end of the year with a few special menus on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve that are listed below. Our initial dinner hours will be 5pm until 11pm, Monday through Saturday, with the bar continuing to serve until late into the night.
As DeAleano mentions, Oak will also be offering prix fixe Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve menus and a six-course New Year's Eve menu.
