Go behind the scenes at the Master Chef Dallas auditions with Escape Hatch Dallas' Mike Hiller, who says they gave the thumbs-up to really great chefs as well as "really strange" folks. "Hey, it's TV," writes Hiller, so they went ahead and advanced a guy who served up a pan-seared, unseasoned chicken breast as his sample dish--even though it pretty much cracked the judges' plastic forks straight in half. Hiller couldn't say whether he judged local boy Ben Starr's dish. [Escape Hatch Dallas]
