First-Ever Texas Capriotti's Location To Open In Plano

Continuing the proud tradition of out-of-state fast fooderies opening their first Texas locations in Dallas' northern 'burbs, sandwich chain Capriotti's will open in Plano in September. Their PR folks were kind enough to send us some shots of their very under-construction location at Preston and Lorimar near the LakeSide Market. Here's the press releasery:

Famous for a sub that was named the “Best Sandwich in America” by AOL, the Bobbie is “Thanksgiving on a Roll” with homemade pulled turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo on a fresh roll. Other signature sandwiches include the Capastrami with hot pastrami, Swiss Cheese, cole slaw and Russian dressing and the SlawBeJo with homemade roast beef, provolone cheese, Russian dressing and mayo.

With 70 locations in eleven states, Capriotti's is slated to open in mid-September. Capriotti’s started in Wilmington, DE and is now headquartered in Las Vegas where the majority of its stores are located. Bobbieheads in the Plano area are already excited for the store’s opening as its limited availability has it’s admirers anxiously awaiting it’s continuing expansion.

Eater Dallas isn't familiar with Capriotti's, and certainly hasn't run into any "Bobbieheads" in the Plano area, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. If you're planning to camp out for "Thanksgiving on a Roll," let us know.
