On one of Eater Dallas' evening constitutionals this week, we noticed some new signage on Commerce Street for Uncle Uber's Sammich Shop. (Yes, "sammich," it's a thing, nothing you can do about it, move along.) Looks like it's slated to open in September across from St. Pete's Dancing Marlin, and according to Teresa Gubbins over at PegasusNews, it's run by the once-openers of the Uptown Bar & Grill, who moved to Chicago in '03 but decided it's time to come back to Dallas.
For a good look inside, check out the shop's Facebook page, where they posted new shots of the interior on Wednesday. Bar seating, bright windows, and a cooler for "Uber Cold Drinks" all figure prominently. Oh, and you'll notice that's a TABC application sign in the window up there--Uncle Uber's will also have beer and wine.
