The Camarena Tequila Taco Truck, which garnered a fair bit of buzz mere weeks ago with John "The Most Hated Chef In Dallas According To D Magazine" Tesar and Phillip Vorkoper of The Commissary in the trucky kitchen making trucky tacos to go with trucky tequila, will visit the Dallas 'burbs later this week. (They were at The Bone on Sunday night.) The Camarena folks are nothing if not relentless promoters, and this time they'll be at two different Sigel's locations touting Tesar tacos--one in Addison, the other in Richardson. From the flaks:
Join us on Thursday, September 1st as we welcome back to Dallas the Brand Ambassadors for Camarena Tequila. This premium Tequila is double distilled in small Alembic pot stills from 100% Jalisco highlands grown Blue Agave by a sixth generation Camarena family member master distiller. To highlight the affinity of this fine Tequila with great food, Chefs John Tesar & Philip Vorkoper of The Commissary will craft handmade, artisan tacos to accompany the free tasting.Once again, those artisan tacos will be comprised of: beef tongue, short ribs, pulled pork and smoked chicken. This Thursday they'll be in Richardson at the Abrams location from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and then from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Inwood Road store in Addison.
