Tei-An Turns Three; Mozz Co. Wins Big; BBQ Rivalry

ARTS DISTRICT -- Tei-An celebrates its three year anniversary tonight with a rooftop cocktails and hors d'oeuvres party. Starts at 7 p.m., admission is $10 and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Japan Red Cross Society for earthquake and tsunami relief. [EaterWire]

DEEP ELLUM -- The Mozzarella Company on Elm Street has won a passel of awards from this weekend's American Cheese Society Annual Competition. Owner Paula Lambert's Hoja Santa Goat Cheese, Goat's Milk Ricotta and Pecan Praline Mascarpone all took first place. [EatsBlog]

MEDICAL DISTRICT -- A barbecue rivalry may be a-brewing (or a-smoking) over on Harry Hines, with new joint Polk Bonz advertising the "Best BBQ on Harry Hines." There's only one other barbecue place on Harry Hines: Mike Anderson's. [FCGB]
