Owners Of Good 2 Go and Barcadia To Open Acme F&B

Just got an official press release from Jeana Johnson, who runs the magic of Good 2 Go Taco with Colleen O'Hare. The pair, along with Barcadia's Brooke Humphries and Brianna Larson, will open Acme F&B in the space formerly known as both Bull & Bear and Cretia's.

The concept is “come as you are fine dining” where one can find high-end dishes without having to don high-end duds.

We've been waiting for some big news from Johnson and O'Hare. We sat down with Johnson for a chat (about how busy they were, no less) only two nights ago, after her shift at Goodfriend, and she teased us that she had some news coming. It's surely the return to the pair's start in fine-dining that had her so excited.

Per the press release, Johnson says, “We’ll be doing honest, straightforward food -- familiar and comfortable but with an unexpected twist that draws from our experience working in some of Dallas’ finer kitchens.” The food focus is, as expected based on past efforts, seasonable, sustainable and local, when available.

Our favorite part of the press release? "Sort of like eating at your mom’s house, if your mom was Alice Waters."

Humphries and Larson, founders of Barcadia and the Beauty Bar on Henderson Avenue, will manage Acme F&B. Opening is slated for the spring.
