Last week, we introduced our new series Back In The Day, which results from our predilection for seeking out vintage restaurant photos, menus and memorabilia. Today, we've found quite the photo interlude/ebay auction gem. One that we're doing our best to resist. It's a 1971 news wire photo from Campisi's Egyptian.

Now, it would already be an awesome photo, but it's what's on the back that makes us want it so very badly (and why owning it would be so much cooler than just peeping the auction): The Chicago Sun-Times date stamp and the caption info, which reads, in part, "Joe Campisi, (R), owner of the Egyptian Restaurant in Dallas, serves his happy customers legally-mixed over the bar as Texans enjoyed an open saloon policy for the first time in 52 years."

See you at the auction. Cheers, y'all.
