Sprinkles Ice Cream to Begin Scooping April 2013

Beverly Hills-based Sprinkles Cupcakes has expanded their repertoire to include ice cream shops, and one is coming to Dallas next April. The company, known for its massive calorie-bomb cupcakes adorned with mod sugar dots, already has a strong Dallas presence with their Preston Center cupcake bakery, which quickly became a staple for bourgeois birthday treats since opening back in 2007 and still sees lines out the door at peak holiday times.

The first (and only other) Sprinkles Ice Cream opened in Beverly Hills back in May and features an ultra-modern white interior and flavors like red velvet, salty caramel, coffee fudge almond and Cap'n Crunch; patrons can have their frozen dessert scooped into red velvet waffle cones, smooshed between two cupcake tops for a trendy ice cream sandwich, or adorned with housemade toppings for a sundae.

Sprinkles Ice Cream is slated to open April 2013 in Preston Center, not far from the cupcake bakery.
