News surfaced over the weekend that The Greek, slated to open today in the old Commissary spot in One Arts Plaza, had suffered a last-minute chef shuffle. Original chef Richard Silva has flown the coop, and Taylor Kearney, who's done time in the kitchens at Boulevardier and Charlie Palmer, has been brought in to take his place as chef de cuisine.
New chef Kearney is making some last-minute changes to the menu; The Greek hopes to soft-open sometime this week and be officially open on Friday.
As is typical in these situations, owner Mary Cloutier-Arabatzis has only kind words for the departed Silva, saying, "While we are disappointed that things did not work out with Richard Silva and THE GREEK, we wish him nothing but the best."
