Houston-based, NASDAQ-traded strip club chain Rick's Cabaret will open Vee Lounge, an "ultra-chic restaurant and nightclub" with exactly zero strippers in downtown Fort Worth next year. As reported by the Star-Telegram, the company has leased a 13,000 square foot space that will include a full-service kitchen serving global fare, private skyboxes and "lavish decor", and will even serve brunch. (Again, there will be no strippers.)
The company is no stranger to the restaurant biz, already operating a steakhouse in NYC—but that one is also a strip club. DFW is certainly suffering from a shortage of cheesy themed restaurants, so thankfully Rick's will soon bestow two more new concepts on the metroplex:
[Ed Anakar, operations director] said Rick's also plans a sports bar called Ricky Bobby Sports Saloon and Restaurant next to its north Fort Worth Rick's Cabaret location, off Northeast Loop 820 and Interstate 35W, in the spring, as well as a concept called Bombshells, a military-themed restaurant near downtown Dallas.
