Consilient, the Dallas restaurant group headed up by Tristan Simon that's responsible for local favorites Victor Tango's, The Porch, Hibiscus and Fireside Pies, will unveil a new concept at the Joule hotel this spring: CBD Provisions will be open seven days a week offering upscale comfort food "with an artisanal standard" and a focus on "local, regional and responsibly raised products", according to a press release. (Are there any new restaurants not stating those tenets?)
The Joule's other restaurant, Charlie Palmer, is slated to undergo a makeover that will transform it into Charlie Palmer Steak. The hotel is in the midst of a two-year, $78 million renovation; back in March a press release stated that a new Charlie Palmer concept, City Hall, would also be added, featuring "dine-in and take-out options from five specialty gourmand stations". (A glorified Eatzi's for the downtown set?)
