It was a pretty lean week for reviews: Leslie Brenner checked out the dim sum at Kirin Court and awarded it three stars, gushing over a $50 Dungeness crab fried rice and the Peking duck; the soup dumplings, though, were "total duds", as were five-spice spareribs. Meanwhile, Mark Vamos dissed the "New York style" pizza at Union Bear in the West Village but found salads and a fried chicken sandwich worthwhile. [DMN]
