Leslie Brenner found a gem of a sushi bar called Masami in a Richardson strip mall and found solid dishes of both the raw and cooked variety, but would pass on the somewhat pedestrian omakase option. Scott Reitz ate at Sakhuu, the new Thai spot on Bryan Street, and implores you to bring your own booze and eat the stuffed chicken wings, which are a "feat of culinary engineering"; Teresa Gubbins checked out the new Patrizio in Southlake, an over-the-top new spot from Ed Bailey offering "terrific and uncommon" pizzas and "irresistible" pasta dishes.
