Stoneleigh Hotel Transforms Bolla into T/X

The Stoneleigh Hotel (recently rebranded the Luxe Stoneleigh after acquiring the Luxe brand, a California-based hotel group—how very Uptown of them) has just completed a full makeover of its lobby restaurant, T/X. (The restaurant was known as Bolla until earlier this year and used to serve modern Italian fare by chef David Bull, who departed back in 2010 for Austin, where he opened Congress and Second.) T/X is headed up by chef Marcelo Vasquez, who mostly recently cooked at Fort Worth's Omni Hotel restaurants Cast Iron and Whiskey & Rye.

Vasquez's new menu has a decidedly Texan/Southwest slant, with dishes like duck two ways with Mexican chocolate-orange sauce, Rahr-braised short ribs with jalapeno-cheese grits, and sweet potato sopapillas. The hotel describes the restaurant as "upscale casual", although he price points are mostly what you'd expect from a hotel restaurant, with entrees ranging from $29 to $38. (The bar menu has also been revamped with items like al pastor tacos and short rib taquitos and a fresh cocktail selection.)
