Velvet Takeover: Tacos to Replace Ft. Worth Dive Bar

Late-night Henderson Avenue gringo taco spot Velvet Taco is poised for expansion: They'll reportedly take over a space in Fort Worth's West 7th district next year. The spot is currently occupied by The Gold Standard, a dive bar with inventive drinks co-owned by Brad Hensarling, the mixology phenom also behind cocktail bar The Usual. The Gold Standard, which only opened in August, says they will stay open until their lease is up around Halloween 2013.
