Coming this Friday to Walnut Hill and North Central Expressway (next to the brand new behemoth Dave & Buster's) is Nazca Kitchen, a South American comfort food eatery brought to you by Craig Collins, majority owner of longstanding Dallas barbecue chain Red Hot & Blue.
Nazca will bring the city more of the South American flavors that places like Zaguan and La Duni have already touched on—think ceviche, 24-hour marinated roast chicken, and fresh tropical juices. The restaurant will serve three squares a day, kicking breakfast off at 6:30 a.m. with acai breakfast bowls and wraps. Lunch and dinner items include exotically spiced aji amarillo hummus, a grass-fed burger served on an "Amazon crunch bun", and the requisite fish tacos. A Latin American-centric wine list will round out Nazca's offerings.
The interior is sleek and modern—as would be expected from designer Hatsumi Kuzuu, who's also responsible for Tei-An's zen-like interior—with touches of colorful South American flair. Nazca will be open seven days a week beginning this Friday, December 21.
