Looks like Dallas is finally getting that ramen spot everyone's been chomping at the bit for: A TABC application for "Tanoshi Ramen LLC" has been posted up in the window at the old Baker's Ribs location on Commerce Street in Deep Ellum (next to Angry Dog), as Instagrammed by eagle-eyed bartender Gabe Sanchez of Black Swan Saloon.
A bit of digging revealed that Chi and Joey Le may be associated with the project; the Les own Richardson's Wicked Po'Boys, the Plan B Group-designed Cajun sandwich shop that opened back in June. (They couldn't be reached for comment at the time of this posting.)
The ramen craze recently swept into Austin, with newcomer Ramen Tatsu-ya drawing long lines of hungry soup lovers. Dallas-dwelling ramen fiends are currently pretty limited on options, with Tei-An in One Arts Plaza serving one of the only noteworthy bowls in town.
