FT33 Gets Four Stars, Plus Tex-Mex and Burgers

MORNING NEWS—Leslie Brenner bestowed a rare four stars on Design District hotspot FT33, proclaiming McCallister's food "sophisticated and modernist without coming across as the least bit pretentious"; she was slightly less bowled over by the sweet side of the menu, finding the desserts impressive but perhaps a bit too complicated.

OBSERVER—Scott Reitz reviewed Soleo, the Preston Hollow Tex-Mex spot from the owners of El Paisa taqueria on Harry Hines, and found addictive chips and salsa, authentically delicious pozole, and excellent enchiladas (even the vegetarian version).

DFW.COM—Malcolm Mayhew found "full-flavored", "vibrantly beefy" burgers and "excellent hand-cut, skin-on fries" at Rodeo Goat, the new Fort Worth ice house from the Wynne family of Meddlesome Moth and Flying Saucer fame; Teresa Gubbins discovered some new menu items at the newest outpost of Tim Love's Love Shack, including a "sloppy-good" tortilla-wrapped burger.
