Chef Marc Cassel's new East Dallas seafood restaurant, which was previously thought to be named Peavy Road, is actually called 20 Feet Seafood Joint. D Magazine editor Tim Rogers got a surprise sneak peek inside the "shack" last night, and tweets that the restaurant should open in a few weeks. 20 Feet will specialize in casual oceanic fare like clams, oysters and lobster rolls. (It remains to be seen if the menu and atmosphere will live up to Observer critic Scott Reitz's fantasies.)
Cassel's most recent contribution to the Dallas dining scene was the short-lived Park on Henderson (which is now The Gin Mill). He also he headed up the iconic Green Room in Deep Ellum, which was resurrected for a brief period in 2010.
