Make the Perfect Martini with St-Germain

StG-600x250-Eater-ad.gif

Valentine’s Day is less than a month away, but don’t worry because St-Germain has you covered. Made from handpicked elderflowers native to France, it makes an elegant addition whether you’re planning a romantic dinner for two or partying with friends. Its subtle flavor allows it to pair easily with complementary spirits. A classic celebratory pairing combines St-Germain with Champagne, but bartenders in Dallas are using it with more than just bubbly. Vodka, gin, rye, rum, tequila and bourbon all play well with St-Germain. See Eater’s map of where to find St-Germain in and out of the bottle. À votre santé!

Al Bierat’s is known for its great steaks and fine seafood, but its presence in the bar scene is growing ever popular and its cocktails are well worth a trip on their own. Bar manager Danny Versfelt mixes up cocktails that are sure to please drinkers of all types, and he’s always been known to lead patrons down the right path when it comes to creating the perfect concoction for any palate or occasion. When customers request cocktails with their favorite liqueur, St-Germain, Versfelt will do everything from dressing up the classic St-Germain and champagne with a splash of cranberry to providing the perfect martini with a St-Germain twist.

ST-GERMAIN MARTINI:

1.5 oz premium handcrafted vodka
.5 oz St-Germain

Coat the glass with St-Germain (as you would use vermouth in a traditional martini), shake vodka and St-Germain together, strain and serve with a twist.
