Valentine’s Day is less than a week away, but don’t worry because St-Germain has you covered. Made from handpicked elderflowers native to France, it makes an elegant addition whether you’re planning a romantic dinner for two or partying with friends. Its subtle flavor allows it to pair easily with complementary spirits. A classic celebratory pairing combines St-Germain with Champagne, but bartenders in Dallas are using it with more than just bubbly. Vodka, gin, rye, rum, tequila and bourbon all play well with St-Germain. See Eater’s map of where to find St-Germain in and out of the bottle. À votre santé!

In the heart of the burgeoning Cedars neighborhood you can stop into everyone’s favorite haunt, Cedars Social, for some tasty bites and enchanting cocktails any time of the day. Thanks to the minds of chef John Tesar and barman extraordinaire Michael Martensen, you’re guaranteed to have a great time whether you’re sitting around the fire pit, nestled up in the library, or sitting at the bar, where you can watch some of the finest bartenders in town work their magic as they create cocktail masterpieces designed to impress and excite. One of their current drink specials is the scrumptious St. Ruby, a refreshing cocktail featuring a combination of Zucca and strawberries to highlight the elderflower flavors found in St-Germain.

St. Ruby
1 oz. Zucca
½ oz. St-Germain
¾ oz. lemon juice
1.2 oz. simple syrup
Fresh strawberries

Muddle fresh strawberries and combine all ingredients. Shake, pour over ice, and top with a fine tonic like Fentimans.
