Renowned Dallas Chef John "It's A Hamburger!" Tesar, formerly of The Mansion and The Commissary and soon of Spoon Bar & Kitchen fame, is now boarding the underground-pop-up-secret-dinner train, reports Nancy Nichols over at SideDish. Educated guess: this is what Tesar meant back in February when he told Escape Hatch's Mike Hiller he'd be opening a "pop up restaurant" in East Dallas' Garden Cafe space. Via SideDish, Tesar promises an "over the top" experience with food that may make a future appearance at Spoon:
A portion of the proceeds from the Private Underground Dinners will be donated to a local community educational garden. Each Private Underground Dinner will have a different menu to provide guests with unique experiences, each dinner will include five to seven courses from the land and the sea. There will be just one dinner service per evening with limited seating available. The food will be the main attraction of these exclusive Private Underground Dinners to provide a truly memorable, social gourmet dining experience.
The $99, seven-course dinners are BYOB. First one's to be Saturday, April 7th at 7:30 p.m. Get your tickets rightchere.
