Opaque - Dining in the Dark offers one of the most unique culinary adventures known today. Based on an ingenious European concept that has enjoyed great popularity in cities like Berlin, Paris, London, and Vienna, the Opaque experience is coming back to the great city of Dallas for two nights only! Dining in the Dark is an opportunity to encounter the other senses (touch, taste, smell, hearing) on a level rarely experienced by the sighted. Diners are guided through a 4-course dinner experience, immersed in total darkness, by a server who is blind or visually impaired. This is a chance to take a short leave from the visual world and let a different kind of sensual consciousness into the sandbox for just a little while. Put your sense of taste to the test! Featuring star chefs from the Aloft Hotel Dallas, enjoy a specially prepared prix fixe menu that will have you discovering subtleties of flavor you never knew existed.
Our 4-course prix fixe dinner is a set mystery menu. (Diners may request info regarding the menu if needed). A vegetarian and/or vegan menu is available upon request. All other dietary needs or concerns can also be accommodated if requested prior to the event.
