East Dallas gets Bolivian cafe Joyce & Gigi's Kitchen this summer. Gigliola "Gigi" Aguilera has worked in kitchens at Fearing's, Five Sixty and the Stoneleigh and learned pastry-making in Spain and Switzerland. Her mom Joyce, also a chef (both are from Bolivia), will help open the new place in a renovated streetfront space on Hall Street at Ross Avenue, reports Theresa Gubbins. They'll serve "modern South American" food, including feijoada with polenta, empanadas, yucca cake and plaintains. [Pegasus News]
