Tom Spicer, Unsung Cold Pizza Master

smFM1410.jpgSometimes pizza is better the next day. FM 1410's Tom Spicer, East Dallas produce icon and cold pizza technician, offered this solid tip on reheating — and seriously improving — cold (possibly less-than-stellar) day-old pizza: "Put it (whole, not sliced) in a really hot skillet upside down for a few minutes then flip it over right side up for a few minutes. I guarantee it will taste better than it did when it was delivered." He also recommends toasting the crust of a cheap frozen pizza (post-microwave) in a hot iron skillet with salt and red pepper flakes, then topping the whole thing with sautéed Spiceman's mushrooms, garlic, ramps and more.
