Acme F&B Constructing Upscale Comfort On McKinney

Today marks the opening of Acme F&B on McKinney (in the space once known as Cretia's on McKinney). The "come-as-you-are fine dining" restaurant is the latest venture for Jeana Johnson and Colleen O'Hare of Good 2 Go Taco (and Goodfriend) and their business partners over the bar, Brooke Humphries and Brianna Larson of Barcadia.

On the hustle and bustle of opening day, chef Johnson offers this observation: "Luckily, Colleen and I have done this 4 times before. It's kind of like having kids...it gets a little bit easier every time. It's still hectic and crazy but so far so good."

Intrepid photojournalist Stephen Masker stopped by the restaurant to snap some photos and capture the feel of the place that will provide diners with upscale comfort food, and serve as the first restaurant with a "farmer-friendly" whole animal allocation program. Check out the shots, and of course, leave feedback on your Acme F&B experiences in the comments.
