DFW Food Trucks Are Down By Five

This has been the year of the DFW food trucks. As George Lewis points out over on SideDish, at this time last year there were but two trucks in Dallas proper. Now there are 63 in business, with 10 on the way.

But, because of their mobile nature, there's a lot more that goes into running a food truck than cooking great food. There's also that pesky truck part of it, and all manner of Dallas-related issues. With all of the meet-ups and rotating schedules, it can be difficult to figure out which truck has dropped off the map and which is just at a different location.

Lewis provides news on five trucks that have called it quits and/or are re-evaluating their business. City Street Grille, The Munch Box, Little Vessel Grill, Crazy Sisters (still in business but actively selling) and Rollin' Diner are off the road, so to speak.

They're not all out of the mobile business, however. Munch Box owners Rob Vassilakos and Eric Foster are looking to roll out new concept Slushworks in early summer.
