Owners of Ethiopian Restaurant Desta Killed

Some sad restaurant world news today: The owners of popular Northeast Dallas Ethiopian restaurant Desta were found shot to death on the front porch of their home on Marquita Avenue late last night. According to the Dallas News, Yayehyirad Lemma and Yenenesh Desta were attacked after returning from a 16 hours shift at the restaurant at midnight. The gunman apparently approached the couple, fired at them, and ran off.

At this point further details are scarce, and detectives are searching for a motive. The couple's 18 month-old child was not hurt in the incident.
