Fort Worth Bar The Gold Standard Opens Today After TABC Delays

According to a post on its Facebook page, new Fort Worth bar The Gold Standard will finally open its doors today at 3pm. The bar, described as "the dive bar's last stand on 7th Street" by co-owner Brad Hensarling, was originally slated to open in early July, but was delayed by an unexpectedly long wait to receive the proper permits from TABC.

The Gold Standard is the third venture from Hensarling, who is also behind dive bar The Chat Room and craft cocktail bar The Usual.
