After having been closed all summer long for "renovations", rumors flew that Nick Badovinus' Neighborhood Services Tavern on Henderson Avenue would reopen as a second location of his Design District lunch spot Off-Site Kitchen. New word on the street via CraveDFW is that NHST will reopen as a new concept called Tried & True, and the building is now emblazoned with the word "eat".
Badovinus stated back in June that the new spot would feature a simplified cocktail program, friendly prices and some of the menu items from OSK, including the beloved brisket sandwich. Late-night hours are rumored to be in store as well.
