The new upscale diner at Hotel Lumen almost certain to take the trophy for longest restaurant name in town is now set to open next Monday, September 3. (Let's just shorten it to The Front Room, shall we?)
The new mid-century modern hotel restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with menu offerings ranging from an open-faced short rib breakfast sandwich to edamame hummus, plus more down-home options like fried chicken and barbecue rib baskets. Handmade cocktails of both the classic and contemporary schools will be shaken up alongside a vast selection of espresso and coffee drinks. Hotel Lumen's location just steps away from the SMU campus makes it a popular choice for visiting parents, who will no doubt be crowding in for cocktails and agave and thyme-roasted chicken after visiting Little Johnny at his frat house.
