SlushWorks, a new mobile cure for the summer heat, is expected to roll out tomorrow around Lewisville and South Dallas. As the name implies, SlushWorks will serve an array of ice-cold concoctions made with fresh fruit and sugar cane, including a lemon-coconut-mint mixture known as "The Ben Franklin."
The men behind the slush are Rob Vassilakos and Eric Foster formerly of Munch Box, a Fort Worth food truck that went up in smoke after a sugar fire earlier this year. Maybe this explains their switch to cold drinks.
Update:
Rob from SlushWorks returned a call late this afternoon to say the Thrillist post is incorrect. As it turns out, SlushWorks will not roll out in Lewisville tomorrow but maybe (emphasis on the maybe) they will open on Saturday. Follow SlushWorks on Twitter.
