Leslie Brenner Eats D.C.; Lunch at Sissy's

PLANO—California-based chain Wing Fiesta has just opened its first Texas location on Avenue K. Think WingStop with the addition of cheese fries and ribs. (But from California, so healthier, right?) [Thrillist]

BRENNERWIRE—Leslie Brenner has just returned from a four-day jaunt in our nation's capital, where she schmoozed with fellow critics and thoroughly enjoyed the lack of televisions in D.C.'s dining rooms. [Eats Blog]

KNOX-HENDERSON—Despite the recent departure of its chef, Sissy's Southern Kitchen shows no signs of slowing down and even introduced a new lunch menu today featuring their much-lauded fried chicken alongside sandwiches (chicken-fried steak, catfish po'boy, and a muffaletta) and salads (crab cake, pickled Gulf shrimp). Lunch is served weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. [SideDish]
