The tenth season of everyone's favorite culinary drama returns to the Bravo network on November 7, and this go 'round the battle in Seattle will feature Dallas' own John Tesar and The Grape's sous chef Danyele McPherson vying against 19 other chefs from around the country for $125,000. (See the full list of contestants at Eater National.) Update: Oklahoma-to-Dallas transplant Joshua Valentine, who is the pastry chef at Matt McCallister's upcoming FT33, will also compete.
Usual Top Chef suspects Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, "Mr. Unibrow" Hugh Acheson, and Emeril Lagasse will return, and illustrious Austrian Wolfgang Puck will also join the judging team.
Despite being the oldest contestant at 54 (by a margin of over a decade), Tesar will certainly have a leg up on the competition, at least as far as reality TV experience goes: Food Network watchers may remember his victory in last year's Extreme Chef where he came away with ten grand after cooking in a dust storm and milking a cow, amongst other crazy feats.
