Ocho Kitchen & Cocktails, the new Santa Fe-style Tex Mex venture from Eric DiStefano of New Mexico's Coyote Cafe and Brian Black and Benjamin Crosland of Hatch Partners, opened over the weekend in Preston Center. (Fans of Hatch Partners' other Dallas venture Mi Piaci may recognize Ross Demers, the bespectacled hottie whom they've installed as executive chef. Demers was most recently manning the kitchen at The Commissary, which closed in July.)
The space features sleek red and black design and a patio that's already packed with Park Cities lunchers, despite a rather congested view of the busy Preston Road and Northwest Highway intersection. The second level is dedicated to 8Bar, an adults-only lounge featuring tequila cocktails and fresh margaritas.
