Scott Reitz trekked to the 'burbs to eat jerk chicken at The Island Spot. Some dishes, like the meat patties, fell short, but the beautifully spiced chicken was capable of sending Reitz on a mental vacation back to Jamaica. Meanwhile, Leslie Brenner awarded grandiose steak mecca Nick & Sam's just two stars, complaining of a raucous bar populated by ladies in tight skirts and stilettos "sipping martinis and shrieking over the music" (hello, Dallas), a thunderously loud dining room and steaks that are good but not worth the astronomical price tags.
