O.C. residents have another new restaurant opening to look forward to: The Local Oak is slated to open in mid-March at the intersection of Zang Boulevard and Seventh Street. Brought to you by a descendant of the family that founded Dallas-based chain El Chico back in the 1920s, The Local Oak will—naturally—offer Tex-Mex, as well as "chicken-fried steak, burgers, salads, soups, vegetable dishes and more", plus a full bar.
