BOOZE WIRE—The 86 Co., the line of spirits co-founded by Dallas cocktail wizard Jason Kosmas, is featured today in a New York Times piece about bartenders' influence on the spirits industry. (Although the Times' fact-checker failed to spell Kosmas' name correctly. Oops.) [NYT]

MOCKINGBIRD—Chef Graham Dodds of Central 214 and Cafe Momentum's Chad Houser are teaming up for a dinner to benefit East Dallas' Promise of Peace community garden. Seats for the February 7 event are $85 for five courses with wine, and there will be live music and a raffle of high-end prizes; tickets can be obtained via EventBrite. [Eaterwire]

UPTOWN—Rabbit food haven Greenz has a new owner and a "fresh, modern, yet organic" new interior (which basically translates to bright paint colors and lots of photographs of vegetables). [Eaterwire]
