Mudsmith Coffee, the new java house from Brooke Humphries of Barcadia/Acme F&B/It'll Do fame, is set to debut on Lower Greenville next Monday, January 28, continuing the plethora of new coffee shops opening this year.
Mudsmith eschews local roasters in favor of beans from Four Barrel in San Francisco; a variety of brewing methods will be used, including Chemex, French press, and two custom La Marzocco espresso machines. For patrons seeking a buzz of another kind, there will also be craft beers and wines on tap, plus sandwiches and house-baked pastries and products from local purveyors like Roots Juices.
Mudsmith is located across from the soon-to-open Trader Joe's, and just down the street from the future site of the Lower Greenville food truck park, creating a vastly different picture from the way Lower Greenville looked just a year ago; Jack's Southern Comfort Food and Qariah also opened recently in the area.
Mudsmith will be open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
