Peak & Elm, the new venture featuring "classic Mexican dishes with a modern flair" from the owners of Dallas staple La Popular Tamale House, is slated to open its doors February 8 at the corner of Peak and Elm streets (obviously), in an area on the outskirts of Deep Ellum that some are coining "New East Elm". Whatever you choose to call the neighborhood, the arrival of Peak & Elm—just down the street from the recently opened It'll Do Club and around the corner from sketchy long-standing dive bar Starlight Lounge—is certainly a good sign for the area.
