The McKinney Avenue space once home to the short-lived, kitschy concept The Stand (and before that, Rock 'N Taco) is now known as The Shell Shack, a brand-new concept that debuted last week specializing in crab boils with Dungeness, snow or king varieties (plus shrimp or crawfish), all sold by the pound.
Of course, if you're too finicky for all that messy, bib-necessitating crustacean-cracking action, "then you can get it served 'Uptown Style' and they'll do the work for you."
Based on the pictures via the restaurant's Facebook page, The Shell Shack's also got plenty of booze and hours that extend all the way from lunch to late-night, with a kitchen that stays open until 1 a.m.
